Empowered Desking for Salespeople

Written by Genius
Updated over a week ago

Empowered Desking allows you to present payment options directly to the customer from within the Desking screen. The layout is designed to be customer-facing throughout, so everything visible is appropriate to have on screen while seated with a customer.

Opening Empowered Desking

  1. Open the Customer Card

  2. Click Desk under Actions on the right side

The Desking screen will open in a customer-facing layout. You will notice fewer fields in the left sidebar than you may be used to -- fields that are not customer-appropriate are hidden by default.

If a manager is also viewing the same desk, you will see their avatar in the upper right corner.

Presenting an Offer

When you are ready to show payment options to the customer:

  1. Click Accept Offer

  2. The screen will transition to the Offer Screen, which displays all available payment options for the customer to review

If you need to pull back an accepted offer, click Retract Offer.

Requesting a Change from Your Manager

If you need something adjusted that is outside your access, you can message your manager directly from the desk using Desking Chat.

  1. Click the chat icon in the upper right corner of the Desking screen

  2. Type your message and send it

Your messages appear on the right side of the chat. Manager responses appear on the left. You will see any changes reflected on your screen instantly and receive a notification when your manager responds.

Your manager has the option to lock the screen while they make edits. You will see your Desk view fade with a "Deal Locked" message when that happens.

Important: Desking Chat is customer-facing. Do not write anything in the chat that a customer should not see.

Chat History and Deal Status

Desking Chat stays active until the deal is marked Sold, Delivered, or Dead. At that point the chat becomes read-only but can still be viewed on the Deal Mini Card.

If a deal is retracted, the chat reactivates and your full message history returns.
