How to Effectively Use the Standard Daily Activity Report in DriveCentric
The Standard Daily Activity Report in DriveCentric is a powerful tool for tracking user activities, including those of specific roles like sales managers. This guide provides an overview of its features, customization options, access requirements, and workarounds for limitations.
Overview of the Standard Daily Activity Report
The Standard Daily Activity Report includes activity from all users, such as sales managers, as long as they log an action. This makes it a comprehensive resource for monitoring daily activities across your organization.
Filtering and Customizing Reports
To tailor the report to your needs, you can:
Filter: Using the view options in the upper right, change from Store to User filter to show results by individual.
View User Role Activity Only: Open the report, toggle off Live mode, and use the User Type dropdown filter to select "Salesperson". This filters the users in the list to only those with the User Type of "Salesperson".
Adjust the Date: To view activity for a different day, toggle off the Live button and select the desired date using the purple date selector box. This will default to Yesterday when the Live toggle is disabled.
Access and Permissions
If you cannot see the Standard Daily Activity Report, you may need updated permissions. Contact an Expert User in your organization to update your user permissions in User Management. On the Details tab of your User Management profile, they should add "Standard" to your reporting access. Once updated, you will gain access to the report.
User Inclusion and Visibility
To ensure a user appears in the Activity Report under specific roles, go to their profile (user card) and confirm the appropriate User Type in the User Type dropdown. This step is crucial for accurate reporting and visibility.
Filter Sets
If you find yourself adding the same filters consistently, save these filters as a Filter Set. To do this:
Apply the filters you desire
Click on Filter Sets in the upper right of the report
Click Add New Filter Set
Once your new Filter Set is saved, hovering over the filter set will display:
Home icon- Saves this filter set as the default for the report so your filters are applied automatically when you first click to run the report.
Pencil icon- Allows for you to edit the Filter Set label
Trash bin icon- Deletes that particular set from the Filter Set list
Download Option
If you have Data Download permission, you will be able to Download the report by clicking on the three dots in the upper right of the report and selecting the Download option. If you do not see the Download option, contact your Expert User to update your Data Download permission.
