Performance Agent

Written by DriveCentric Support

Permissions required: Agent Hub & Dashboard

Performance Agent gives you an AI-powered, data-driven look at how any salesperson or BDC rep is performing compared to their actual peers, so you can coach with confidence and back every conversation with numbers.

What Is Performance Agent?

Performance Agent pulls activity and sales data for any team member you select and benchmarks them against everyone else in the same role at your store. The AI places them in one of four performance quadrants and generates a structured review covering what they're doing well, where they need to improve, and what actions you should take next.

Think of it as having a coaching summary ready before every one-on-one. Instead of going off gut feel, you walk in with a clear picture of where that person stands compared to the rest of your team, and a printable report you can hand them directly or use to build a formal improvement plan.

Where to Find It

Go to either Dashboards or Agent Hub -> Performance Agent

How to Use It

Select a Team Member

On the Performance Agent landing page, you'll see a searchable grid of reports that have already been run. To start a new one, click Run Report in the upper right corner.

  1. Choose a date range for the analysis.

  2. Select the salesperson or BDC rep you want to review. AI users and automated accounts do not appear in this list.

  3. If you are part of a multi store group, choose to compare against users in their store or against all stores.

  4. Then choose to compare against same role employees or all employees.

    1. Same Role is the default and the recommended setting for most reviews.

    2. If your store has only one person in a given role, the system will automatically widen the comparison to all employees and display a notice letting you know.

  5. Click Run Report

Analysis Report

The agent pulls the data, benchmarks the employee against the comparison pool, and generates the full performance review.

The report includes:

  • Their performance quadrant: High Performer, Untapped Potential, Hard Worker, or Needs Support

  • Key metrics and how the employee ranks on each one (configurable: see below)

  • Their top-performing metric and their lowest-performing metric, if you have key metrics configured

  • Written sections covering strengths, areas for improvement, a recommended action plan, guidance for you as their manager, and focus areas to share with the employee

Edit the Report

Once the analysis is done, you can edit any section directly. This is useful when you want to add context the AI doesn't have, like a specific coaching conversation you've already had, a store-level priority, or any HR considerations.

  1. Click the edit button to make all text sections editable.

  2. Update or delete any section as needed.

  3. Your changes save automatically and stay with that report permanently.

When you print the report, your edited version is what comes out, not the original AI-generated text.

Print or Share the Report

Use the print option to generate a clean, printable version of the report. The filter bar is hidden in print view, and the header shows the exact date range and comparison scope that was used.

This version is formatted to hand directly to the employee during a review or to attach to a performance improvement plan.

Review Past Reports

The landing page shows all previously run reports in a searchable grid. Each row displays the employee name, role, store, metric highlights, date range, and when the report was run. The newest reports appear at the top.

Click any row to reopen that report.

Tips for Your Team

  • Run Performance Agent before any formal coaching conversation or performance review. Walking in with data makes the conversation easier for everyone.

  • Configure your key metrics to get the most out of the report. When key metrics are configured, the report also surfaces the employee's top-performing and lowest-performing metric, giving you a sharper picture of where to focus the conversation.

  • Use the Same Role filter as your default. Comparing a BDC rep against the whole sales team doesn't give you a fair or useful picture.

  • If you're at a multi-store group and want to know how your team stacks up across the entire organization, switch the Store Scope to "Compare against all stores in group."

  • After the AI generates the report, take a few minutes to edit the manager guidance section before printing. Adding your own voice to the action plan makes it more useful for the employee.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I run Performance Agent for a BDC rep and compare them to my salespeople?
Yes. Switch the Role Scope dropdown to "All Employees" and the comparison will include everyone active at the store regardless of role. The default "Same Role" setting is recommended for most situations because it gives a more accurate benchmark.

Why does my report say it used "All Employees" when I selected "Same Role"?
This happens when the employee you selected is the only active person in their role at the store. There's no one else to benchmark them against in that role, so the system automatically widens the comparison pool and lets you know with a notice on the report.

Why don't I see a top-performing or lowest-performing metric in my report?
Those sections appear only when you have key metrics configured. If you haven't set them up yet, configure your key metrics and they'll appear the next time you run a report.

Can I go back and view reports I ran last month?
Yes. All previous reports are saved on the Performance Agent landing page. Use the search bar to find a specific employee, or scroll through the list sorted by most recent.
