In this article, we are going to show how to send an Email Blast through DriveCentric! There are a few items to note before you can send Email Blasts through DriveCentric:

  1. Your Store has the Email Blast product enabled.

  2. Your User Account has the "Email Blast" permissions enabled in User Management.

  3. A list is created through our Data Mining Tool that you would like to blast (note: the limit on the number of customers you can blast is less than 50,000)

Here are the step-by-step instructions for how to create a customer/deal list, how to get that list to the Email Blast tool, and then how to add your content before scheduling the email blast to send:

Step 1: Creating your Marketing List

To create your marketing list for the email blast, you will need to access the Mining Tool (it is the magnifying icon you see below and would show on your Menu Bar in DriveCentric).

Step 2: Determine if you are Mining by Deals or Customer records

Once you open the Mining Tool, you can choose to either Mine for Deals (any Deal that had been opened, marked dead, or delivered for customers you are assigned to), or Customers (any customer record that you are associated to).

Step 3: Adding Filters

Once you have clicked on "Mine Deals", or "Mine Customers" in the Mining Tool, you will then be able to start adding filters to help you break down the list of results to match what you are looking for.

Examples: Deal Date Created, Current Stage (of the Pipeline), Deal Status (Open, Dead, Delivered), Source Type (Internet, Phone, Showroom, Campaign), etc.

As a Note: Your segment cannot exceed 50,000 emails, so if your list is larger than 50,000 you will be prompted to add additional filters to limit the number of recipients:

DON'T FORGET! If you are typically pulling the same list of filters on a consistent basis, you can click the icon "Save Segment" and save these filters as a segment name to be accessed in the future!

Step 4: Sending your list to the Email Blast Tool

Once you have your determined list, and it is less than 50,000 records, you can click on the "Email Blast" icon on the top right portion of DriveCentric to send that list of Customers, or Deals, to the Email Blast tool.

Step 5: Composing your Marketing Email

Now you are ready to compose your Marketing Email! The first line you see shows you the number of recipients of this email. DriveCentric is removing any customer records from the generated list if any customer matches one of the items below:

  1. The customer has recently received an email blast in the last 24 hours

  2. The customer does not have an email listed in their Customer Card

  3. The customer is currently unsubscribed to receive emails from the store

  4. The customer has an Open Deal and is currently in the "Snoozed" status

The second line you see is where you can enter the subject line of your email blast.

The third box is where you will be able to either type in your text email or where you can choose to load your HTML email build!

HTML File Note: To upload an HTML file, please click on the "source" button in the bottom left corner of the Message box. This will now display "wysiwyg", and is where you can paste your HTML file. Once entered, click on the "wysiwyg" button and it will now display your HTML file correctly!

Step 6: Schedule your Email Blast

Now that you have created your email blast, you can choose to save it as a Draft, or schedule the Blast to send out at any desired date and time!
