Email Blast - How to Create and Send an Email Blast

Written by Genius

Prerequisites:

Before you begin, ensure the following:

  • Email Blast Enabled: Your store must have the Email Blast feature enabled

  • Permissions Set: Your user account must have “Email Blast” permissions enabled via User Management or Permission Groups

  • Create a Marketing List: Use the Data Mining Tool to build your customer list (maximum of 50,000 recipients per blast)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Create your Marketing List

  1. Access the Mining Tool (magnifying glass icon in the Menu Bar).

  2. Decide if you want to mine for Deals or Customer Records:

    1. Deals: Includes opened, dead, or delivered deals assigned to you

    2. Customers: Includes customer records associated with you

    3. Service (for stores with Service Hub): Includes customers associated with the service department

    4. Alternatively, use a pre-saved segment

Step 2: Add Filters to Refine Your List

  • After selecting “Mine Deals” or “Mine Customers,” add filters to narrow your results.

  • Common filters include:

    • Deal Date Created

    • Current Pipeline Stage

    • Deal Status (Open, Dead, Delivered)

    • Source Type (Internet, Phone, Showroom, Campaign)

Note: If your segment exceeds 50,000 records, you will need to apply additional filters to reduce the list size.

Step 3: Send the List to the Email Blast Tool

Once your list is finalized (under 50,000 records), click the Email Blast icon in the top-right corner of DriveCentric to send the list to the Email Blast tool.

Step 4: Compose Your Marketing Email

  • The recipient count is displayed at the top. Clicking on this will show you a sample list of your recipients.

  • DriveCentric automatically excludes the following:

    • Customers who received an email blast in the last 24 hours.

    • Customers without an email address on their Customer Card.

    • Customers who unsubscribed from store emails.

    • Customers with Open Deals in “Snoozed” status.

Compose Your Email:

  1. Subject Line: Enter a compelling subject line.

  2. Email Content: Add text directly or upload an HTML email.

HTML Upload Instructions:

  • Click the “Insert HTML” button in the message box’s bottom-right corner.

  • Paste your HTML content.

  • Switch back by clicking “Save” to preview your design.

Step 5: Schedule or Save as Draft

  • Choose to:

    • Save as Draft for future edits.

    • Schedule the email blast for a specific date and time.
