This article will help you to understand how to create or adjust the Desking Settings.
Desking settings can be accessed through Store Settings -> Desking
Desking Settings Homescreen
Universal Settings: This controls the settings that apply to all profiles: Fees, Accessories and Lenders
Global Default Profile: This profile controls settings for users who aren’t assigned to another profile
Digital Retail Profile: This profile controls settings for Digital Retail app
Universal Settings
This controls the settings that apply to all profiles: Fees, Accessories and Lenders
Dealer Fees
The user can add any and all Dealer Fees. These fees can be toggled on and off as needed. Enabling them will make the fee a default fee on all desks.
Accessories
Using the dropdown menu, you can choose to use Provided Accessories, enable accessories, and assign a Cost and Price for the applicable accessories.
You can also choose Dealer Defined from the dropdown menu and add your own accessory and assign a Cost and Price.
Protection Products
Enable any protections products that should be enabled by default, and then enter the Cost and Price for those products.
Lenders
This section provides a comprehensive list of lenders, sourced from our providers, complete with detailed program information. This includes the vehicle specifics, term length, credit score requirements, and interest rates.
Global Default Profile
This profile controls settings for users who aren’t assigned to another profile
Proposal
Customize Payment Modes
Tax & Fees Settings
The system automatically retrieves the sales tax based on the customer’s zip code when you desk a deal. This section also allows you to customize what will appear by default.
Global Tax Options and Out of State Fees & Taxes
Toggle on/off the fees that should be on each deal
Add the correct fees to applicable Out of State Fees & Taxes
Market Specific Taxes
You can add the Market(s) that you service.
Click “Add New” and choose the market
Set default settings for that market
Options
You can select the items to include by default, as well as assign correct amounts, percentages, or days to applicable items.
You can select or deselect default items to include in customer printouts.
User Profiles
You can create user profiles, and then setup default settings for those profiles similar to how you did Global Default Profile.
Go to the “User Profiles” tab
Click “Create New Profile”
Assigning Users to Profiles
Go to the “Users” tab from the Desking Settings homescreen
Use the dropdown menu and select the appropriate profile
Users not assigned to a User Profile will automatically be assigned to Global Default Profile
Legacy Desking
This article will help you to understand what can be adjusted within the Desking Settings. You can find information on Taxes, Options, Fees, and Print!
Desking settings can be accessed by click the gear icon from the desking screen.
Taxes
Taxes are a personal setting, meaning if you change the preferences within this tab, it will not change for anyone else in the store.
Use Zip Lookup Options
Always - It will get all options and rates every time from the zip code regardless of your defaults.
Rates Only - It will use the defaults that you have for the options (toggles) and only pull the rates from the zip.
Options Only - It will use the defaults that you have for the rates and only pull the options (toggles) from the zip.
Never - It will use the defaults for everything regardless of zip lookup.

Defaults
In Desking Settings, third from the right you will find the Options tab! This tab is broken up into three categories: Defaults, Layout, Proposal Options Order, and DMS.
Options are a personal setting, meaning if you change the preferences within this tab, it will not change for anyone else in the store.

Fees
You can change fees in Desking Settings under the Fees tab!
Fees are a global setting, this means that if you alter the settings within this tab, it will change the settings for everyone else in the store as well.

You can change your printing preferences under the Print tab in Desking Settings! Print options will vary depending on the proposal option that has been selected.
Print is a personal setting, meaning if you change the preferences within this tab, it will not change for anyone else in the store.
