The Options tab can be accessed inside desking settings by click the gear icon from the desking screen. This tab is broken up into three categories: Defaults, Layout, Proposal Options Order, and DMS.
NOTE: Options are a personal setting, meaning if you change the preferences within this tab, it will not change for anyone else in the store.
Here is an image to show what the Options tab looks like!
Defaults
Here are the names and definitions of all the preferences under Defaults:

Retail Markup: This defaults the desk to start with markup for retail deals.
Days to 1st Pmt: Most dealers will set this to either 30 or 45. This will only impact Finance deals, as Leases are hard coded to 30 days.
Generic Acquisition Fee: The amount that is entered in this field will populate when desking a Generic lease.
Acquisition Fee Markup: This markup will apply to an automatically calculated acquisition fee.
Generic Lender Fees: The amount entered into this field will default the Generic Lender Fee when you click on Fees in the desking screen.

The fields that populate below can remain at 0
User Trade Valuation Mods: Checking this box adds the additional Valuation Mods section at the bottom of the Options tab. See Trade Valuation Mods section for more information!
Use Smart Payment Plan: The Smart Payment Plan is a company that some dealers utilize for bi-weekly payments. Only select if dealership states that they use this program.
Use Book Value on Used: Checking this will add the Book Value field below List Price on the desking screen. The dealership can then input the Book Value, as DriveCentric does not populate this information for them.
Here is an image of what the book value section looks like:
*This applies for dealerships wit the Rates, Residuals, and Rebates package!
Layout
Proposal Options on Left: This moves the payment matrices over to the left side of the desking screen.
Hide Profit: Having this enabled will hide the Profit section of the desking screen.
Proposal Options Order
Selecting the checkboxes next to the options will make them visible within the desking tool.
To reorder, simply click/hold the selection.
*These are personal settings. If User A only has Retail and Cash selected in their settings and starts a desk, when User B enters that desk, they will only see the Retail and Cash options. This is even if they have additional options selected in their personal settings.
Valuation Mods:
Value Mods are additional fields that can be added to show on the proposal to assist with explaining the amount given for the trade allowance!
A best practice is to add the names of items typically taken into consideration when appraising a trade (like windshield, paint, tires, or interior). The default amounts can be blank and then added in each individual desk.
The amount that is listed in the Trade Allowance field will always be the amount factored into the desk!
On the proposal, the Appraisal line will automatically show higher or lower depending on if the mods are additions or deductions. If the mod is a deduction, a [-] sing will need to be added in front of the amount and the initial Appraisal amount will show higher than the trade allowance.
If the mod is an addition, no sign is needed in front of the amount and the initial Appraisal amount will show lower than the Trade Allowance.
For example: The trade has a cracked windshield (-350), paint chips (-200), but brand new tires (+500). As seen below:
