InSite: Adding Your Tracking Script

Step 6: What InSite does, the two items you complete in the Onboarding Wizard, and how the tracking script gets added to your website.

Written by DriveCentric Support

What Is InSite?

InSite is DriveCentric's website tracking tool. It is what lets DriveCentric send price change emails and appointment confirmation emails, and it powers chat features on your website.

To work, InSite needs a small piece of tracking code added to your site. Your part is two items in the Onboarding Wizard. DriveCentric sends the tracking setup to your website provider from there.

What You Need to Do in the Onboarding Wizard

Two items complete your part:

  1. Provide your website support email address. This can be a generic support inbox or a direct rep at your website provider.

  2. Check the box within the Onboarding Wizard authorizing DriveCentric to work with your website to implement the necessary updates.

That is it. DriveCentric handles sending the tracking setup directly to your website provider from there.

What Happens After Your Script Is Live

Once the new script is on your site, DriveCentric verifies it is working correctly and finishes setting up any related features on the DriveCentric side, such as chat.

Good to Know

  • This is a one-time setup. The script goes on your site once.

  • No personal data is sold or shared.

  • The script can be removed at any time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to add the tracking code myself?

No. DriveCentric sends the tracking setup directly to your website provider once you have provided the support email address and checked the authorization box.

What email address should I give?

Your website support email address. A generic support inbox works, and so does a direct rep at your website provider.

Can the script be removed later?

Yes. It can be removed at any time.
