How to search for and find customers based on specific criteria.

The mining tool allows users to mine deals, mine customers or utilize preset and custom segments.


Preset Segments include:

  1. All Customers

  2. Open Deals

  3. Orphans

  4. Yesterday’s Visits

  5. Yesterday’s Proposals

  6. Lease Ending (3 Months)

  7. High Interest Rate

  8. This Year’s Deliveries

  9. Customers Coming out of Contract

  10. This month’s birthdays

Accessing Mining

To access the mining tool click the magnifying glass icon on your menu bar.

Mining Homepage Header

The header of the mining homepage shows the date and time up to which data is available. To the right of this information, you’ll find buttons for:

  • Mine Deals: Includes customers with any deal (open, dead, or delivered) linked to their profile.

  • Mine Customers: Encompasses all customers, whether or not they have an associated deal.

*Data available to mine is set by your Data Access permission in User Management and may be set to User, Team or Store.

The header meatball menu (three dots to the right of the Mine Customers button allows you to edit the layout of your preset and custom defined segments.

To edit or delete a preset or custom segment hover over the segment on the mining homepage and click the meatball menu. From there, you can download the results (with permission), print the results, edit the segment or delete the segment.

Selecting the edit option allows you to modify the segment name and share/un-share with the store.

Filtering Mining Results

Whether mining deals, mining customers or using a segment, users can filter their mining results utilizing the Add Filter button.

Assigning Tasks

You can assign tasks to your mining results list using the Assign Task button. To assign tasks the segment must not exceed 10,000 customers.

Column Selector

Users can add, remove and reorder the visible data columns in their mining results utilizing the column selector button.

Creating a Custom Segment

After generating a list using Mine Deals, Mine Customers, or a Segment and applying a new filter, a Save Segment button will appear to the right of the Add Filter button.

By clicking Save Segment, you can name the segment and share it with your store for others to access. The saved segment will then be added to your mining homepage.

If you are saving changes to a pre-defined segments you will have the option to change the current segment or create a new segment.

Toggle on the Make public to Store toggle to share with all users within the store.

If you started with the Mine Deals or Mine Customers button, clicking the Save Segment button will allow you to create a new segment.
