DriveCentric’s Permission Groups let you control user access at your dealership, making sure the right team members have the necessary tools and permissions.

Locating Permission Groups

Go to Store Settings. Under "Users" those with access will see "Permission Groups"

Creating a Permission Group

  • Click "+ Permission Group" in the upper right corner

  • Name the group and click "Create"

  • Configuring Permissions:

    • Go to the Permissions tab. All permissions are disabled by default.

    • Enable the necessary permissions for this group.

    • Important: Remember to click Save after making any changes. If you navigate away without saving, a prompt will remind you to save your work.

Assigning Users to a Group

  • Adding Users:

    • Click on the Users tab within your group.

    • Select Add Users to bring up a dropdown list of users whose primary store matches the one you’re managing.

    • Choose the appropriate users, then click Add.

  • Single Group Assignment:

    • Users can only be part of one group at a time. If a user is already in a group, they will appear grayed out with their current group name displayed.

Reviewing and Managing Group Activity

  • Activity Log:

    • Navigate to the Log tab to see a detailed history of actions related to your Permission Group.

Deleting a Group or User

  • If a group is deleted or a user is removed from a group, the user(s) will retain the permissions that were granted to them by that group.

User Management Enhancements

  • User Details:

    • Under Store Settings -> User Management, the Details tab now shows the user’s primary store.

  • Permission Overview:

    • The Permissions tab in User Management will display any Permission Groups the user belongs to.
