Build relationships inside DriveCentric

With the new Connections feature, you can link customers together in DriveCentric to reflect their real-life relationships. This helps you and your team better understand networks of customers, referrals, and households.

What Connections Do

  • Link customers as spouse, parent, child, sibling, friend, coworker, or referral.

  • See connections directly on the Customer Contact Card.

  • Connections are mirrored both ways automatically (e.g., Spouse ↔ Spouse, Parent ↔ Child).

  • Every connection add/remove is logged on both timelines for clarity.

Who Can Add Connections

  • Store Data Access → Connect any customer in the store.

  • Team Data Access → Connect customers if your team is assigned on their deal.

  • User Data Access → Connect customers if you are listed as Sales 1, Sales 2, BDC, Closer, or Service BDC.

How to Add a Connection

  1. Open the Customer Contact Card.

  2. Under Details, click Connections → Add Connection.

  3. Search by name, phone, email, stock number, or VIN (results show after 2+ characters).

  4. Select the customer you want to connect.

  5. Choose a relationship type from the dropdown.

  6. Click Add Connection to save.

Managing Connections

  • Add multiple connections by repeating the steps.

  • Remove a connection by clicking the X next to it (except for claimed customers).

  • Clicking a connection’s name takes you straight to that customer’s card.

Special Rules

  • No duplicate connections between the same two customers.

  • Merging customers keeps or removes connections based on overlap.

  • Connections are severed if a customer is transferred to another store.

Pro Tip: Connections are unlimited—map out entire households, businesses, or referral networks to see the bigger picture and create new opportunities.
