What Is the Launch Day Domain Move?
If you are bringing your own domain for CRM emails, and that domain is still connected to the CRM you are switching from, DriveCentric cannot set it up early. Doing so would break your emails in your current system before you are ready to make the switch.
That is why this change happens on your launch day instead of ahead of time. Your part is having your technical contact available that morning and completing a short set of steps as soon as they arrive.
What You Need to Do on Launch Day
Work through this on the morning of your launch:
Have your technical contact ready and available at 8am CST on your launch day.
Watch for an email from DriveCentric with step by step instructions for updating your domain settings.
Follow those instructions right away. The sooner you complete them, the faster the change takes effect across the internet.
If your group is on the West Coast, ask your Implementation Specialist about pushing this to 9 or 10am CST.
What Happens After You Complete the Steps
Once your technical contact finishes the steps, the change propagates, meaning it spreads across the internet so your domain starts working with DriveCentric.
DriveCentric confirms everything is working correctly once it is live.
Good to Know
This change cannot happen early. Your domain is still in use by your current CRM, and moving it ahead of launch day would break your emails there.
8am CST is the standard start time. West Coast groups can ask about 9 or 10am CST.
Speed matters. The sooner the steps are completed, the faster the change takes effect across the internet.
