Focus CRM: Getting Your Data Moved Over

Step 14: Your Focus login is the one thing your Implementation Specialist needs to pull your sales and prospect history into DriveCentric.

What Is the Focus Data Extraction?

Focus is a Reynolds and Reynolds CRM product. A CRM, short for Customer Relationship Management system, is the software your store uses now to track customers and follow-up. Moving that history into DriveCentric means your team keeps the sales and prospect records you have already built instead of starting in an empty system.

Focus does not send your data to DriveCentric. Your Implementation Specialist pulls it directly out of your Focus account, so your part of this is one step.

Providing Your Focus Login

Give your Implementation Specialist your Focus CRM login credentials. That is the only step on your end.

Your Implementation Specialist uses that login twice: once to pull your initial data, and again on your launch day to capture the gap data, which is anything added to Focus after the first pull.

What Happens After You Provide Your Login

Your Implementation Specialist logs into Focus with your credentials and pulls the sales and prospect reports needed to bring your history into DriveCentric. They repeat that on your launch day for anything added since the first pull.

There is nothing else you need to do in the meantime.

Good to Know

  • Your Focus login is the only thing needed from you for this step.

  • Two pulls happen, not one. The second pull is on your launch day, so your most recent activity comes over too.

  • Your Implementation Specialist handles the extraction itself. It is not something you set up yourself in DriveCentric.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to run any reports in Focus myself?

No. Your Implementation Specialist pulls the sales and prospect reports using the login you provide.

Why is my login needed a second time?

The second pull happens on your launch day and captures anything added to Focus after the first pull, so no recent activity is left behind.

Can I change how this is handled?

This process is run by your Implementation Specialist rather than set up by you. Let your Implementation Specialist know what you would like updated and they will take care of it.
