Removing and Adding a Vehicle to the Customer's Garage

How to mark a vehicle no longer owned by a customer.

The Customer's Garage is where you will see the Vehicles that the Customer has purchased in the past, and is a great place to keep a record of what the Customer owns currently. When we receive Delivered Deal records from your Dealer Management System (DMS), we will add the vehicle to the Customer's Garage to show their ownership of the vehicle. In this article, we touch on how to Remove and Add vehicles to the Customer's Garage to help track what vehicles the customer truly owns as of today.

Removing Vehicles from the Customer's Garage

Removing the Vehicle from the Customer's Garage would represent that they no longer own the vehicle (i.e. sold it to another Dealership, or have returned their Lease early to your dealership or a different dealership), so you will need to know how to remove those vehicles from the Customer's Profile.

To remove a vehicle from the garage open the Customer Contact Card by clicking the Green License icon in the upper left of the deal card.

Once this loads, click on the Vehicle which is shown in the Garage to open up the details about the vehicle.

Once the details page has opened to Edit your Garaged Vehicle, you can click on the red "Remove Vehicle" option on the bottom left to remove the Vehicle from the Customer's Garage. Then, you will be asked to confirm the removal of the Vehicle from the Customer's Garage.

Once you confirm the removal of the vehicle from their Garage by clicking the red "Remove" icon, the Vehicle will no longer show under that Customer Profile.

Adding Vehicles to the Customer's Garage

You might find times when you need to Add a Vehicle that the Customer owns to their profile in DriveCentric (i.e. Bought a car from another Dealership). To Add a Vehicle to the Customer Profile please follow the steps below.

Open the Customer Contact Card by clicking the Green License icon in the upper left of the deal card.

Now click on the "Add" text, which is shown in the Garage section, to start Adding that Vehicle to the Customer's Profile.

Once you click on the "Add" text, you will see a new page where you can Add the Vehicle to the Customer Profile. Here is where you can enter the VIN (which will automatically decode the Year, Make, Model, and Trim), Year, Make, Model, Trim, and Mileage on the Vehicle.

When you enter said information, you will see the "Save" icon populate as Purple, and then can Add the Vehicle to the Customer Card.
