Duplicate leads appear in the notification bar under the compass icon. These leads are categorized as either auto duplicates or possible duplicates, based on the extent of matching information between the new lead and existing open deals or customer profiles in the system.
Possible duplicates must be either merged or cleared before any actions can be logged. For instructions, refer to Merging Customer Profiles.
Once a lead is merged or identified as an auto duplicate, it will display in the sidebar with a grey compass icon (unassigned) or a green compass icon (assigned).
Notification Bar - Lead Icons
Duplicate leads, like fresh leads without an open deal, require an activity to be logged to be removed from the sidebar. You’ll need to log a phone call, send a text, email, or video. See Removing a Lead from the Notification Bar for more information.
