Clearing a Duplicate Lead from the Notification Bar

How to get rid of a duplicate lead on the notification bar.

Duplicate leads that are received will be displayed on the notification bar under the compass icon. Leads may be an auto duplicate or a possible duplicate depending on the amount of matching customer information between the new lead and existing open deals and customers in the system.

Possible duplicates must be merged or cleared for any action to be logged. To merge or clear a possible duplicate see Merging Customer Profiles.

Once merged, or if the lead had enough matching information to be an auto duplicate the lead will show on the sidebar with either a grey or green compass icon depending on assignment status.

Just like with fresh leads on customers that did not have an open deal, duplicate leads will need to have an activity logged to be removed from the sidebar.
