Within DriveCentric there are five available source types that can be utilized:

  1. Campaign: Utilized for receiving leads electronically not specifically related to selling or servicing a vehicle. Can be utilized to manually add a deal when the deal was not initiated by a phone call or a customer walking into the dealership.

  2. Internet: Utilized for receiving leads electronically related to the opportunity to sell a vehicle.

  3. Phone: Utilized to create an open deal for a new or existing customer when the initial contact is by phone call. Can be utilized to receive leads electronically related to customers who have called the store through a specific lead provider.

  4. Service: Utilized to receive leads electronically related to servicing a vehicle.

  5. Showroom: Utilized to create an open deal for a new or existing customer in the system for customers who's initial contact is visiting the dealership.

Source types are utilized in two key areas within the system: Business Rules and Reporting.

Business rules can be created based on the source type selected when an open deal is created either manually or automatically through a lead submission. To create business rules based on source types see: Business Rules Overview, Creating Business Rules and Business Rule Categories.

Within reporting we provide reports on the following source types: Campaign, Internet Phone and Showroom. These reports display metrics based on the source type of all deals during the selected time frame. Additionally many reports provide the comparison of source type allowing you to view results summarized by each source type utilized for deals during the selected time frame.
