automotiveMastermind, Marketing Events

Written by Genius

If your dealership uses both DriveCentric and automotiveMastermind, marketing activity from automotiveMastermind will appear directly on the customer's Activity Timeline inside the Customer Card. This gives your team a complete picture of how a customer has been engaged without leaving DriveCentric.

Where to Find Marketing Events

Marketing events from automotiveMastermind are visible in two places on the Activity Timeline:

The ALL tab, which shows all customer activity in one view, and the 3RD PARTY tab, which filters to show only activity from connected third-party tools like automotiveMastermind.

What Each Event Shows

Every marketing event entry includes

  • A circular icon on the left (unique to each event type)

  • A bold title in the format: [Event Type] Event by automotiveMastermind

  • A timestamp

  • A detail line pulling from: Campaign Name, Event Type, Event Subtype, Event URL, and Event Details (empty fields and their separators are automatically skipped)

Event Types

There are five categories of marketing events:

  • Email Event: send, open, link click, unsubscribe, showroom URL click, QR scan

  • Website Event: site visit, lead submission, VDP view, vehicle search

  • Mailer Event: PDF created

  • QR Event: QR created, QR scanned

  • Mastermind Application Event: note added, assignee changed

How Events Are Matched to Customers

DriveCentric matches incoming automotiveMastermind events to existing customer records using the following order:

  • CRM Customer ID (primary match key β€” a new field automotiveMastermind is adding to their file)

  • Customer DMS ID (fallback match key)

  • If neither matches, the event will not appear in DriveCentric

What Is Not Included

The following Showroom event subtypes are not part of this integration at this time: Change Payment, Change Vehicle, Submitted Lead, Visit, and URL Updated.
